We mounted this unit in the wall near the ceiling of the 19 X 9 room and it brings it down to comfortable levels in about 15 minutes. We were remodeling the room, so cutting a hole in the wall was simple to do. Great unit with a great remote control. The unit comes with a heavy duty mounting bracket and Amazon recommended buying a bracket for installation. An error of Amazon's part. We now have a purchased bracket that we did not need. Unit is very quiet and has more features than any air conditioner we have ever owned. Energy saving mode and variable fan control, plus this unit allows you to exhaust hot stale air from the room. It's about 400 square feet give or take. One of the windows is right by my wife's desk and so we didn't want to put it there, but the other is in the other room at the other end of the house. The instructions say that a casement window requires 16.5 inches for the window which is only 14.5 inches wide. It says a sliding window requires 15.5 inches. I had 15.5 inches in my window and was able to fit it just fine. It's a small issue, but don't toss the A/C just because your window is a little narrow.In any case, it works great. Really sucks the humidity out of the air and blows strongly enough to get from one room to the other.
